“Making a difference in the lives of young women by exploring their creativity as they learn about their Creator.”
Dear Friends,
Many of you may have noticed that the world we live in encourages girls and women to live lives that are completely opposite of how God created us to live. Young women today have many messages, “voices” (tv, movies, books, magazines, music, social media, confused peers, etc.) coming at them telling them who they should be, how they should live, and what will make them happy. Many of these messages do not build women up but tear them down, and instead of happiness, lead to sadness, destruction, and confusion about who their loving Heavenly Father is. Many of us have been affected in some way by these negative messages and have experienced the emptiness they bring. And yet we have “Tasted and seen that the Lord is good”(Psalm 34:8). We have witnessed the joy, healing, strength, and confidence that comes from knowing Jesus, what He did for us, and His way! Project Godway is an opportunity to be a “voice” for God’s goodness.

How Project Godway works…
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!
One crucial aspect of Project Godway is the women of all ages (high schoolers to grandmas) who volunteer to make this program happen. We call them the Dream Team! These women (including perhaps YOU!) have experienced God’s goodness in their lives, and they desire to share that with these young girls through their time and talents. We are always looking for more women to join the Project Godway team! By coming on board, you will be taking the call to be a “Voice” for God and will have the opportunity to invest in His kingdom by investing in the lives of these young ladies! Would you prayerfully consider being a part of this program?!
-We need women of all ages who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior, have experienced God’s goodness, and would like to share that with others. Our team consists of women from throughout the community and different churches.
-We need women who can sew, learn and teach simple crafts, help in study groups, provide snacks, help with setup, cleanup, and more.
-We hope, with your help, we can make each season better than the last and really make a difference in our world by investing in the future. Each season we want to reach more girls in the community with the message of God’s love and foster more relationships between the women on the Dream Team and the girls.
Do you know a young lady who you think would enjoy and benefit from Project Godway? Do you have a friend who you think may want to serve in Project Godway?

Project Godway was launched in 2013 at Grace to give young women an opportunity to...
- Learn who our Creator is and our identity in Him through studying His Word.
- Learn How very unique we were each created.
- Create beautiful designs that represent our uniqueness and learn skills that will help us spend our time doing positive things.
- Gain confidence in who God made us so we are less likely to put ourselves and others down or into a “box”
- Learn how we can build each other up as women and young ladies.
- Have fun hanging out with old friends and making new ones!
How Project Godway works…
- The program lasts five to eight weeks and will be held each Friday from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m.
- Girls are divided into “design groups”which they will stay in the whole season.
- Each girl decides on a look she would like to create that represents HER, part of which she will sew. (The crafts we offer vary from year to year. We are not able to offer sewing every year.)
- Each session starts with a lesson from the Bible. Girls then break into design groups and talk about the lesson. The last part of the evening is spent creating designs while having fun with friends.
- The season ends with a fashion show (the Saturday evening following the last Friday) where the girls can show off their designs to family and friends and celebrate their time together. (The season finale celebration varies from season depending on the projects we do. It is not always a fashion show but we always end with a fun celebration of our time together!)
- Year round opportunity for young ladies to go deeper into God's Word.
- Create healthy God honoring Friendships.
- Learn Leadership skills.
- End of season retreat.
- Lead the "design groups" through the spring season.
- Help with fundraising
- Help with projects.
- Plan fun events.
